4Comfortable but not durable  Aug 08, 2008
These shoes meld the squidgy comfort of a pair of flip flops to a fabric top. This has the benefit of not only making them more shoe-like, but it actually makes them more comfortable for an entire day of walking.

But, understand that this comes at a cost. If you do a lot of walking expect to wear through them more quickly than most other shoes. I have had mine for about three weeks and have worn them on weekends and perhaps one or two days a week. The soles already are showing signs of wear, and my hunch is that the current rate of wear I will need to replace them in under 6 months.

Aesthetically though, I much prefer these to what I previously wore for casual kicking around -- a pair of crocs. I loved the way they felt, but hated the way they looked. These look really good -- particularly if you seek out some of the other fabric options that they have (I have a pair of "professors" with grey tweed fabric). You may even find yourself wearing them to work (which I do).

The other issue is that the shoes don't breathe as well as you might think. You won't want to wear the same pair for more than two days in a row, you will need to give them a chance to completely dry out.

Overall though I give them 4 stars because they look damn good with shorts, jeans and even casual slacks.

Note that if you are a crocs lover that Crocs now makes a shoe that is similar to the Sanuk Vagabond called the Santa Cruz. It has the same material as regular crocs for the soles, but a fabric top like the Sanuk. They don't offer as many eclectic choices in fabrics unfortunately but they still have the same kind of look. Worth checking out.

5Great shoe  Jul 06, 2008
We had purchased these shoes at a beach shop in Miami for our two teenagers. They loved them and then wanted to get their Dad a pair for Father's Day. As usual, Amazaon was a great source. We did have to exchange for a bigger size, and the exchange process was smooth.

5A great shoe!  Feb 20, 2008
This shoe is so very comfortable. Also, it looks great with so many different style pants and shorts even.

5These Shoes Rock  Dec 22, 2007
Most Comfortable Shoes I've ever Worn. Better Than Birkenstocks Adidas Nikes etc. Very much like a slipper. Ultra light weight. I've owned three pair and hope to own many more.

2these are not really shoes...sandal  Aug 17, 2007
I just got this particular Sanuk model 2 days ago from a reliable seller, really surprise to see that this Vagabond sandal looks like a "slipper". Comfortable but doesn't look durable. Definitely not shoes.
